Humans are programmed to retain energy; a throwback to the days when we didn’t know when our next calorie would come.
So it’s no wonder that when there are calories everywhere, desk jobs and cars, that we all get out of shape. This leads to a nasty cycle where exercise becomes less fun because you are less fit, and motivation vanishes.
How can Bloom help?
At Bloom, we think the answer starts with your mind. Unless we can convince it to exercise, we may as well all go home (via McDonalds).
Bloom’s unique exercise programmes use proven psychology and cognitive behavioural techniques to break the cycle. How is it unique? Well we start with a good sit down and a cup of tea for one thing, talking through your psychometric tests. And the final session ends with you reaching a specific goal.
Our most popular programme is called
50 days to fitness, and focuses on understanding your own psychological responses to exercise and diet. We start by exploring your personality and attitudes to exercise, and by the end of the programme, you will think differently about exercise and how it fits into your life.
The
50 days to fitness programme consists of 6 hour-long sessions spread over 6 weeks, with homework in between. If you meet your self-set target after the 6th session, you get a bonus session free.
