Bloom Research into 'Meaning' at work
Bloom psychologists are actively engaged in research as well as the application of psychology.  Rob is currently developing a model which will help individuals understand how to find meaning at work.  Meaning has been shown to improve people's well-being, happiness, resilience and engagement at work.  If you would like to be involved in this research please either:

1. E-mail Rob - rob@bloompsychology.com
2. Click Here to take survey in this browser
3. Or paste this into your browser to bring up a new page - might be easiest: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=J2LuFG9G2vdjQvBjo6BvEA_3d_3d

Some responses from the survey so far:

It's a really interesting area to consider. It makes you step back and think about you job from an overall perspective rather than just what you do day to day. It's the perspective that you lose track of easily when the daily stresses take over. Very useful work me thinks!

Fascinating survey.

I found your study survey very interesting and certainly thought-provoking. In these sorts of things you often find you've made a liar of yourself, or don't understand yourself as much as you think you do!

2007 - Doing our bit
During 2007 Bloom was proud to support the London charities Enfield Asian Welfare Association (EAWA) and VolEmploy by fulfilling our pledge of offering our services on a voluntary basis to contribute to our wider community.

Bloom worked directly with the General Manager of EAWA to coach her through a difficult time for the organisation. Bloom’s coaching support included working through a new strategy for EAWA, and working out how best to engage EAWA’s staff, patients and clients in the new direction. Bloom helped the General Manager to implement the strategy, by coaching her through a process whereby clear aims and objectives - and supporting goals – were clearly defined.

VolEmploy were in need of a programme to help their refugee clients into the workplace. Bloom designed a programme to be used by voluntary mentors at weekly meetings so that they could practically and emotionally support their mentees in a structured and meaningful way with the goal of getting them into work when the time was right. This involved an understanding of the challenges faced by the refugee community, a grasp of what mentors could realistically be expected to achieve and the expertise that Bloom brings to all its career management offerings. This programme is to be implemented long-term by VolEmploy mentors supporting refugees in Westminster.
